AbstractThis page describes a selection of on-line sources of astronomical data. Preference is given to concise formats, and professional rather than hobby sites. Keywords: stellar data, Astronomical Data Center IntroductionADC refers to catalogues provided by the NASA Astronomical Data Centre. Author information is best accessed from NASA ADS (Astronomy Abstract Service). |

| Harris 1997: This catalog compiled by William E.
Harris contains basic parameters on distances, velocities, metallicities, luminosities,
colors, and dynamical parameters for 147 objects regarded as globular clusters in the
Milky Way galaxy. A complete list of source references is given in the companion file
"sources". (ADC 7202) |

| Smith 1996: The Common Name Cross Index combines data
from various catalogs to produce a cross index of the numbers in the FK5, SAO, and HD
catalogues. The index includes the Bayer or Flamsteed designations and the common or
variable star names. (ADC 4022) |

| GCVS Table 7 - HD Correspondences (Nagy 1978): The
General Catalogue of Variable Stars (GCVS), 2nd Edition (Kukarkin et al. 1958) contains 21
cross identification tables that connect the many types of names historically given to
variable stars with the standardized designations, especially those used in the GCVS and
the Catalogue of Suspected Variables (CSV). This catalog contains Table 7, which lists
Henry Draper Catalogue numbers, Catalogue of Suspected Variables (CSV) numbers, coordinate
designations, GCVS numbers, and other identifiers for stars in the GCVS, 2nd Edition. (ADC 4924) |

| BSC5P - Bright Star Catalog: The BSC5P database
contains data derived from the Bright Star Catalog, 5th Edition, preliminary, which is
widely used as a source of basic astronomical and astrophysical data for stars brighter
than magnitude 6.5. The database contains the identifications of included stars in several
other widely-used catalogs, double- and multiple-star identifications, indication of
variability and variable-star identifiers, equatorial positions for B1900.0 and J2000.0,
galactic coordinates, UBVRI photoelectric photometric data when they exist, spectral types
on the Morgan-Keenan (MK) classification system, proper motions (J2000.0), parallax,

Ochsenbein & Halbwachs 1987: This catalogue
provides data on the 1628 stars brighter than magnitude 5.01 contained in the
"catalogue des etoiles les plus brillantes" by Ochsenbein et al. (1984),
compiled from the fourth edition of The Bright Star Catalogue (Hoffleit 1982). It differs
from the original printed version by the following points:

| Ochsenbein 1980: This SAO catalogue (Smithsonian
Astrophysical Observatory Catalogue of 258,997 stars, 1966; see catalog <I/131>),
connected to the CSI (Catalogue of Stellar Identifications, see Ochsenbein et al. 1981),
enables researchers to retrieve reliable astrophysical data for about 20,000 stars. This
includes SAO identifications, CSI identifications, equatorial coordinates (B1950),
Galactic coordinates, proper motions, photometric data, spectral classifications, radial
velocity, etc. The SAO/HD cross index for about 188,000 stars allows users to find (or
enter) the catalog with the HD number of the star. The notes contain detected errors, the
value of the trigonometric parallax taken from the Jenkins' (1952, 1963) catalogues, the
double star designation ADS or IDS, and the name of the star. (ADC 5015) |

Wolf-Rayetvan der Hucht 2001: The VIIth catalogue of galactic Population I Wolf Rayet stars provides improved coordinates, spectral types and bv photometry of known WR stars and adds 71 new WR stars to the previous WR catalogue. This census of galactic WR stars reaches 227 stars, comprising 127 WN stars, 87 WC stars, 10 WN/WC stars and 3 WO stars. This includes 15 WNL and 11 WCL stars within 30 pc of the Galactic Center.
