Peter Biddlecombe

I don’t know anything about Peter Biddlecombe other than the two or three lines which appear on the jacket notes to his books: Evidently he is a "travel-hardened businessman" and the "first travel writer to have visited and written about over 125 different countries." In his writing he occasionally refers to making investments – or, more usually, not making investments – of many millions, so one assumes he must represent a government agency, an investment bank or something similar.

Whatever he is, he is a witty and diverting writer; a confident guide to the jars and bars of Europe and the world.
