Carl Sagan
The Late Carl Sagan is perhaps best known for having written one novel, subsequently
made into a film starring Jodie Foster: Contact. However, Sagan actually wrote
around 30 books, mostly non-fiction, and would almost certainly have considered himself,
first and foremost, a scientist rather than an author. His scientific work is perhaps most
strongly associated with SETI, at least in the public mind, although, again, it seems
doubtful that Sagan himself would have consider this a significant part of his life’s
work.
