David Quammen's Wild Thoughts is an ok, Tim Cahill-ish, travel-magazine-article anthology type book. Well, actually, that's a bit unfair: it's better than any of the (little) Cahill I have read but, ordinarily, I could take it or leave it.
A single essay, however, makes it different. That is The Trees Cry Out on Currawong Moor, which alone is worth the price of the book.
This article/chapter/essay is set in Tasmania.
Recommendation: Very ordinary; kind of recommended.
Look and Feel: My copy is a good quality hardback; there are no photographs or other illustrations.
